It not only gave me a 2nd SDI port, but I used it to protect the 12G-SDI port on camera by having single 12G cable that never unplugged from this DA. If I had to make long BNC runs on TV shows I'd Velcro this a battery with D-tap cable and it was ready deploy anywhere needed. I then ran super thin 3G-SDI cables to my monitor and Trade. Comes with a Mutiny Freak Plate to help mount it via 1/4-20 bolt. This lived on my Red Kimono.

Most Distribution Amplifiers require AC power which is often hard to find in remote locations and other scenarios you might deploy a DA. Also really handy off camera.
